We don't need your wall charger, car charger, or any other accessories that you have for your cell phone. We only need the phone, battery, and battery cover. (PDA’s – we will accept your stylus too) top ^ Does iBuyPhones guarantee the quoted value of my cell phone? As long as the phone works, you will receive the quoted cash value. We will honor our quoted price withing 30 days of your sign-up date. After 30 days we will pay you the current quoted price listed on the website. However, we do inspect every cell phone, and values may be adjusted if we receive your cell phone in very bad condition. top ^ Under what conditions would iBuyphones not pay for my cell phones? We try very hard to thoroughly test every phone we get. We try to be as fair as we possibly can. But, here are the reasons we will not pay for a phone: >phone will not power up >lcd will not turn on >lcd turns on, but, has a white screen or distorted images >lcd is cracked or bleeding in any way >phone is missing a battery, battery cover, buttons, housing parts, or antenna >phone is excessively damaged or cracked >phone is water damaged >phone has a bad esn-carrier has blocked the activation of a phone due to it being reported lost/stolen. >phone has a bad esn-carrier has blocked the activation of a phone for not fullfilling a contract/paying bill. >phone is still activated on an account top ^ How do I erase all the data from my cell phone? Most cell phone models allow you to erase all the data and reset it to the factory settings. Refer to your owner's manual or the manufacturer's website for instructions. Also, make sure to remove any user locks from your cell phone, or set the password to 0000. top ^ Do I need to cancel my service or deactivate my cell phone? YES! All Sprint, Verizon, Alltel, US Cellular, Cellular One, metroPCS, Cricket, Helio, and NTelos cell phones and all other CDMA cell phones that DO NOT use a SIM card MUST BE RELEASED AND HAVE A ZERO ACCOUNT BALANCE. We will not pay for phones from CDMA carriers that have not been released or carry an unpaid balance and are not activatable. top ^ How do I find my cell phone's IMEI/ESN number? Most cell phones have the IMEI or ESN number located on the sticker underneath the battery. If your cell phone is GSM (most AT&T and T-Mobile phones) you can also press the following keys one by one: * # 0 6 #. As you press the last #, your phone's IMEI number will appear on the screen. top ^ How can I tell if my cell phone has been water damaged? Most cell phones have a water damage sticker underneath the battery. The phone may have come into contact with moisture or water if the sticker is a red dot that has “bled” beneath your battery. We do not pay for water damaged phones. top ^ Who pays for shipping? We do! Once you have determined the value of your cell phone and accepted the credit offered, we will ship you a box through USPS. There is NO cost for you to send us your cell phone! top ^ Do you provide a tracking number for the shipment? Unfortunately the USPS does not have a way to track “Pre-Paid” shipments. If you would have more comfort in tracking your package, please take the package to the post office and ask to have the package tracked. They will give you a tracking number. Remember to include your contact information in the package. Please ship the phones to: 1539 W. Orange Grove, Orange, CA 92868. top ^ What happens if my account doesn’t show that you have received my phones yet? There are a couple reasons why we do not show that we have received your phones yet. First, you just may need to have a little more patience. The USPS “Pre-Paid” tracking system is not as fast as typical USPS shipping speeds. It is more of a manual process for the post office, so we don’t get your packages as fast. If you want the packages sent to us faster feel free to use any other shipping method. Second, occassionaly the address labels get torn off during shipping. If you do not put your contact information in the box we may never know who the package came from. This happens more than you may think. So, if it has been a while and we do not show that we have received your phones then please email cs@ibuyphones.com and give as many details as you can regarding your package; was it a box or envelope? Explain the box in detail. List the exact phones that you sent in the box. Give as much detail as you can so we can try and match up these boxes with their respective owners. top ^ How do I know what cell phone model I have? If the model number is not visible on the front it can usually be found on a sticker underneath the cell phone's battery. top ^ When are checks sent? You will be notified via email when we mail the check. But, the checks will go out shortly after approving your cell phones for purchase. top ^ What do you do with my cell phone? If your cell phone is in working condition or can be repaired, we make sure it goes to a place where it can be reused. If your cell phone is broken beyond repair, we recycle it using the most environmentally friendly methods currently available. top ^ Do you accept broken or damaged cell phones? Some broken or damaged cell phones still have enough value for us to pay you for them. If not, we will gladly accept them for recycling. top ^ What model cell phones do you accept? We accept ANY phone from ANY carrier in ANY condition! top ^ What if my cell phone isn't listed? Please send an email to cs@ibuyphones.com. Make sure to include the manufacturer and model of the cell phone. We will add it to our system and notify you by email when it has been added so you can sell it! top ^ Can I get my cell phone back once I send it to ibuyphones.com? Unfortunately, once you send us your phone, we are unable to send it back. top ^ Can I sell iBuyPhones more than one cell phone? There is no limit to the number of cell phones you can sell. We allow for you to sign up for 9 phones at time…but you can send in as many as you like…when we get them we will pay the current listed price for all additional phones you send us. top ^ Why does it say “Recycle” under the phone instead of listing a price? It says “Recycle” under the phone instead of listing a price because we don’t buy these model phones…but, we will accept these phones for recycling. Every phone we get that says “Recycle” is good for 1 Tree Planted. We coordinate with AmericanForests.org, for every recycled phone we get, we will plant a tree in the US. You are doing your part in helping the environment, by keeping your cellphones out of landfills and by having one more tree planted to help improve our nation. top ^ |
